Minnesota TRiO is the professional organization for personnel affiliated with TRiO, GEAR UP, and other Educational Opportunity Programs throughout the state of Minnesota.  Please consider becoming a member of our organization.  To learn more about membership, click here.  If  you support equal access to education, Minnesota TRiO is the organization for you!

 Minnesota TRiO is one of eight state chapters that form the Mid-America Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (MAEOPP). In addition to Minnesota, Minnesota TRiO's member states include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Minnesota TRiO has a volunteer Board of Directors, which consists of an elected Executive Committee, three elected Members-at-Large, and eight appointed Standing Committee Chairs.  To obtain contact information on MN TRiO's elected officials, click here.


MAEOPP is one of ten regional associations that form the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE). COE is a non-profit organization representing institutions of higher education, administrators, counselors and teachers committed to advancing equal educational opportunity and promoting diversity in America's postsecondary institutions. COE works hard to keep the TRiO community informed about legislative conditions affecting TRiO, Gear Up and other programs focused on serving the needs of disadvantaged, underrepresented youth and adults.
